NEW YORK, September 24, 2014 – Noodle was named yesterday as a finalist for the UK government's second annual GREAT Tech Awards, which aim to encourage high growth technology companies in the U.S. to grow their businesses in the U.K. The finalists were chosen by an advisory board of industry influencers based on their potential for overseas growth and the innovation of their product or service. Winners in six categories will be announced on October 9 in New York, and will participate in a week of intensive business development in London.
Noodle hopes to become the one-stop shop for international students pursuing higher education in the U.S. and U.K., which are the top destinations for students looking to study internationally.
With the cost of higher education tuition continuing to climb in the US and UK, students increasingly need access to quality data and expert advice in order to find a program that best matches their needs. To help in the decision-making process, Noodle provides both data and content to contextualize decision-making for both students and parents.
This honor comes on the heels of the company’s announcement in August that it came out of beta and now offers:
"The GREAT Tech Awards reflect the British government's commitment to helping the best and brightest American tech companies to expand across the Atlantic," said British Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond.
