The world is shrinking. Or at least it feels that way when you can connect with people all over the world from a device that fits in the palm of your hand. Like almost everything else, education is becoming increasingly international and multi-cultural. And it goes beyond study abroad programs.

According to recent report from the Institute of International Education, more international students are studying in the United States than ever before. Colleges and universities are also explanding into foreign countries with campuses and study centers abroad. Many have collaborations with schools around the world to make it easier for students to study internationally and get academic credit.

Building off the top 10 in IIE's list of universities with the most international students, we did some research to find 5 schools that give a glimpse of what the global university of the future might look like.
