Valentine’s Day is a day of romance, chocolates and flowers. Whether you and your bae are going out for dinner or having a relaxing night at home, here are the 7 Valentine’s movies to get in the spirit and celebrate the day of love.

1. Pride & Prejudice

With lines directly from the Jane Austen novel, this movie is a classic romance. This movie is a great example of showing that first impressions are often wrong. The depth of Mr. Darcy’s character gets revealed, melting Elizabeth’s heart, as well as our own who watch the love between them develop.

2. My Best Friend’s Wedding

This classic romance is perfect for those who suffer from unrequited love for their best friend. Watch this love story of Julia Roberts trying to steal her best friend and the man she loves from Cameron Diaz. While this may not have quite the traditional happy ending, this movie is a great example of letting that unrequited love go.

3. 50 First Dates

No one on has else has even half the on-screen chemistry that Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore have. They click so well that they have been in three romance films, including 50 First Dates. This one is funny, heartbreaking, and romantic. Watch this one to see how far a man will go for the woman of his dreams.

4. Love Actually

While it is a bit of a christmas movie, the plot of  Love Actually is centered around complex relationships. Following the lives of several couples , you see different love connections emerge. Watch a man and woman who speak different languages fall in love, a prime minister fall for one of his household staff members, a man confess his love to his best friend’s new wife and so much more. This film shows the good and bad situations that happen when falling in love but show that it is always worth it.

5. How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days

Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey star in this rom-com in which they both have deadlines. Hers is to get him to breakup with her in 10 days, while his is to get her to fall in love with him in that same time. This movie shows that you can’t play with love and that when you do fall for someone, you can’t fight it.

6. The Time Traveler’s Wife

Any romance with Rachel McAdams is great but this one definitely has imagination. Imagine being able to time travel to meet your future spouse and to see them grow up from a child to an adult. This movie has that element and shows that the person for you is out there waiting to meet you.

7. The Proposal

Sandra Bullock stars in this rom-com about a boss who forces her assistant, Ryan Reynolds, to agree to marry her to avoid deportation. The “couple" travels to Alaska to visit Reynolds’ family and to announce their engagement. Little do they know that the trip will make them fall in love.
