iStudiez Pro. There are a 1001 GTD--that's "get things done"--apps out there, but none of them are as specifically suited for student's needs as iStudiez Pro. iStudiez Pro separates its functions into five basic areas: Overview, Assignments, Planner, Instructors, and Holidays. The labels are self-explanatory. The combination of a fun and intuitive UI combined with the student-focused nature of the app is why iStudiez Pro made our list. (Price: $9.99)
Instapaper Pro. Even if your campus has Wi-Fi, that doesn't mean that you won't ever leave campus. Instapaper Pro makes it so that even if you don't have a constant connection, you can have constant access to articles and news posts that you enjoy. With Instapaper Pro, you can surf the web, and when you come across longer articles that interest you, save them to your iPad for later offline reading.(Price: $4.99)
WolframAlpha is a computational knowledge engine on the web. Looking to solve a math equation or find the current position of a comet? WolframAlpha's got your back. Need to compare the frequency of surnames in North America, quickly view the nutritional value of a meal, or analyze a gene and see its position on a chromosome? Yup, WolframAlpha does all that too. It's an amazing resource that can find out facts on all sorts of subjects and also does computations. And it's fun to simply pop from subject to subject in search of trivia and other compelling tidbits. (Price: $1.99)
