In the lives of all college students, there’s always that one anchor that makes them feel grounded when everything seems to be spiraling out of control. It’s that port in their storm where they can go when things in their lives seem dire. No matter what it is, whether it’s classes, work, after-school responsibilities, or life in general, they need that one true pick-me-up, and for most college students, that will always be coffee. Coffee choices seem to be infinite as more and more coffee places spring up with new flavors and aesthetics, but the main options still seem to be narrowed down to the two big wigs of the coffee industry: Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts. 10 college students were asked which coffee they prefer among these two brands to see which comes out on top. The results were nothing short of surprising.
An even five college students said they prefer Dunkin Donuts while another five prefer Starbucks. With regards to Dunkin Donuts, their go-to menu choices are chocolate munchkins, donuts from the bakery, slushies, strawberry and vanilla bean coolattas, iced lattes, and peppermint hot chocolate. On the other hand, Starbucks lovers have their hearts set on butter espressos, chocolate chip frappes, pumpkin spice lattes, iced lattes, and french vanilla bean coffees. One can say that there’s currently a fair amount of competition as to which two establishments rake in the most college students, so which one will ultimately capture the flag in popularity?
