I don't do the Kindle or read books on my iPad. I know that paper=trees, but I refuse to read anything from a screen when I have the option of a tangible book, magazine, or otherwise printed object from which I can get the same information. So when I saw eTextbooks, I found myself torn. I can understand the convenience, weight difference and general efficience of an eTextbook, but deep down, I know I would probably not use one. What about the exquisite pleasure of highlighting, the thrill of underlining words with a pencil and ruler?
So, if you're anything like me, you're probably having some doubts about whethere or not you actually want to try out these newfanged eTextbooks. But never fear, I have just learned that CourseSmart, an online retailer of eTextbooks and eResources is offering free trials for those of us uncertain if we're really ready to take the plunge. Click here to test drive an eTextbook and let us know what you think in the comments!
