Last week, a brand new pedestrian bridge in Miami collapsed. The bridge crushed cars, and as of today, six people have died. The bridge was fairly new and it collapsed one day after the city deemed the bridge to be stable for the public.

This unexpected tragedy left the families of the victims confused, lost, and in pain from what happened. These families were absolutely shocked when they found out about what happened and they could not make sense of what they were told.

The first thing I like to do is pray. These families are grieving and prayers are necessary to help heal their hearts. Keep these families in your prayers as they try to figure out what to do next. Send your condolences and pray that they will heal from this tragedy.

As of right now, there are no donation pages, as the families are still grieving and trying to figure out what to do. I wouldn’t send donations quite yet; I suggest that you put some money aside to donate to the families later on. Right now, they are grieving and recovering, but it is still great to donate money to help them. In the meantime, you can set aside a few dollars so that you can easily donate the money once they are accepting donations.

If you’re in the Miami area, you can show your condolences by taking a moment of silence for the victims. FIU, which is a school that one of the victims attended, is having a moment of silence. If you’re not in the Miami area, you can still participate by showing your condolences. You can acknowledge the victims and you can pray for their families while they grieve. If the family of a victim chooses to have a candlelight vigil, you can attend to show your condolences, or you can light a candle or incense on your own time to pray.

Finally, while the families are grieving, you can spread awareness on all of your social media accounts. You can let your followers, family, and friends know about this tragic event. I personally found out through my coworker, who was spreading awareness. Spread this around so that more people can pray. Spread the news around so that we can help the families.

If you personally know of a way to help out these victims, I am more than happy to hear it. Comment below!
