With so many different makeup brands in the world, it’s impossible to know where to start and who to support. The first brands you should consider trying are ones that are cruelty-free. Cruelty-free makeup consists of products that were made without harming animals or using them as test subjects. The great thing about Beauty Bakerie is that their Cake Mix Demi-Matte foundation consists of thirty different shades. The owner purposely did this because she was tired of seeing darker-toned girls struggle to find their shade. Now, a greater variety of skin tones have the perfect foundation colors to match them.

ELF

Elf is an affordable makeup brand that also does not test on animals. If you are just starting out with makeup, or simply need a brand that is within your budget, ELF is the way to go. Their products are available in many stores, including Target, Walmart, and Ulta, and they are also available online. The great thing about ELF is that they listen to the reviews made by their customers, and they are always trying their best to create products that they think will help their customers. They are all about making their products affordable because they believe that everyone should have the opportunity to play around and use many different products.

Colourpop

Colourpop was created in Los Angeles. It is an affordable brand that sells different concealers, lip products, eyeliners, eyeshadows, and so much more. They are all about being wallet-friendly while doing their best to make quality products.

NYX

NYX is a drug store brand that you can find in Target, Walmart, CVS, and even ULTA. They are a great brand for anybody that is just starting to wear makeup or anybody who is on a budget. Their products are affordable and they do their best to ensure that anybody is able to try their products.

Milani is also a drug store brand. They are sold online, but you can also buy them in Target, Walmart, CVS, and ULTA. They never test on any animals, and they strive to keep their products affordable while maintaining amazing quality. One of their most popular products is the Conceal + Perfect 2-in-1 Foundation, which consists of both a concealer and foundation. There are about 20 shades for only $10.

BECCA Cosmetics

BECCA is more of a high-end brand, and they cater their products to those with all different skin tones. Their main goal is to make you glow in all the right places, regardless of age, skin type, or face shape.

Urban Decay

Urban Decay is another high-end brand that is available online or at Sephora. Urban Decay is all about helping customers find their individuality and learn to express themselves in the best way possible. They are known for their Naked Palettes (which will be discontinuing soon though), which contain a variety of different colors for you to play with in order to help you create your best look yet. They have products that cater to every skin type and skin tone. For anyone who may not have a budget, this is a perfect brand to support. No animals are tested on and the ingredients they use are perfectly safe for customers.

Wet N Wild is a drug store brand based in Los Angeles, but can be purchased at Walmart, Target, ULTA, or online through their store. Wet N Wild takes pride in their affordable prices because their main concern is making sure their customers can afford their products. There are products for every customer, no matter what skin type they have.

Glossier has become more popular within the last few years. Their prices are a bit more expensive than drugstore brands, but they take pride in the quality of their products.
