In this day and age, where things like body positivity and self love are advertised and talked about on a daily basis, we’ve all heard the expression “let your freak flag fly” at one point or another. But now with the LGBTQ community having such an enormous impact on the world, nationally and internationally, it’s only right that they should have apparel to let their pride flag fly. And these are the
perfect brands
to score them from- just in time for Pride Month this year too!
To start, H&M will be releasing a Pride themed collection for the first time since the brand has been around. And will even donate 10% of their proceeds from the collection’s sale to the UN’s Free and Equal campaign for LGBTQ Rights.
Madewell
is also getting involved by releasing a line of accessories and t shirts, only available for a limited time, in recognition of 50 year mark of Pride Recognition Month. They’ll even be sending 50% of their retail value from the line to the Human Rights Campaign.
Even
Nike
is putting their best foot- or rather best shoe- forward with their new line of sneakers from their BETRUE Pride Collection. Complete with a pink triangle to highlight the repurposing and reclaiming of symbols by the LGBTQ community. Talk about taking back the crown.
Adidas
is also going to be jumping into Pride Month feet first and honoring the LGBTQ Community with their own four shoe collection. All four of them will be comprised of bright colors and pastel tones that compliment the wearer’s uniqueness. The four shoes include the Pure Boost DPR, the i-5932, the Campus, and the Deerupt. All of them will be available on the Adidas website, while the retail prices will range from $90 to $150.
MeUndies
, in a partnership with The True Colors Fund for Pride Month, will be releasing a line of limited edition underwear in a rainbow colored design. Everything from Men’s Trunks, Boxer Briefs, and Boxers, to Women’s Boyshorts, cheeky briefs, and bikinis. The proceeds that they make will go straight to the homeless LGBTQ Youth.
Just when things were starting to get a bit more colorful,
Disney
itself has decided to join in on the fun with their own line of rainbow apparel and accessories, from rainbow pouches and pin sets to Ringer T shirts and knee high socks. The proceeds will go to GLSEN, and the sale will last until June 30.
Be sure to also set your sights on
Target
as they partner with GLSEN and celebrate Pride Month with an entire collection of rainbow colored accessories and apparel for everything that you could want and need. Including Liquid Pearl shampoo and Conditioner, drawstring backpacks, Listerine Mouthwash, Adult and Children’s clothes, and even Harry’s Shave Set.
For all the
Apple
Lovers out there, now’s the time to get your hands on one of their custom made, rainbow colored wrist bands for their ever popular Apple Watch Products- just in time to mark your calendar for the various Pride Month events that are sure to occur.
This Pride Month,
Zenni Optical
gives a new meaning to beauty being in the eye of the beholder with their new line of eyewear under the name “See more love”. While only available for a limited time, the purchases brought in a $20,000 donation. The money going to the It Gets Better Project in support of LGBTQ Youth.
Whether you’re a long standing member or a fresh newcomer, the LGBTQ community welcomes you with open arms, an open mind, and a large, rainbow colored heart that invites you to be the very best version of yourself and show off your pride. And the apparel sold here will definitely help you on your way.
