February has finally arrived (after a January that lasted what seemed like an entire year) and with it, new music, film and TV shows for us to devour. Below is the top media you should be looking out for this month for all your entertainment needs.

A Fantastic Woman

“A Fantastic Woman” is a Chilean film that premiered last year but just arrived for its United States debut on February 2. It was screened at the Berlin International Film Festival and has been nominated for an Oscar at this year’s Academy Awards for Best Foreign Language Film.

The film is an important addition to society and today’s political and social climate, as it follows a transgender woman and her experiences with discrimination and love. Already receiving high critical acclaim, “A Fantastic Woman” is not to be missed.

PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Winter Games

The 2018 Winter Olympics will premiere on February 9th, and between figure skating, curling, skiing and more, there’s something for everyone. In addition to the excitement of the competition between countries, there will also be some political tension to watch out for that is important for the world climate. As the games are being held in South Korea, there will be an appearance by North Korea.

If politics isn’t your thing though, you still have the thrill of rooting for your fave to get the gold! Remember, the winter games are only around every four years!

Fifty Shades Freed

Okay…this may or may not be a favorite for me as well…but come on, it’s fun! Even if you haven’t seen the first two installments in the “Fifty Shades of Grey” series, this movie is almost guaranteed to be entertaining. So grab your gal pals and your popcorn, and prepare to be thoroughly entertained by the last chapter in this journey between Anastasia and Christian.

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel

This original from Amazon has won almost every award it has been nominated for so far, including two Golden Globes and two Critics’ Choice Awards. It follows Miriam “Midge” Maisel in 1958 New York City. After a few too many drinks, Midge performs impromptu at a local comedy cafe and is well-received.

This show is daring, exciting, and hilarious all in one. Luckily for you, Season 1 is available to stream on Amazon right now!

Man of the Woods

Justin Timberlake returns with his fifth studio album, released on February 2, 2018. With a new sound and a new vibe, Timberlake doesn’t disappoint with this pop and R&B album with a twist. His tour for the album begins in March of this year, so you better start listening in time to be inspired to get tickets.
