Judicial clerkships are a very valuable asset to your legal resume. The right one can give you great experience, and can even change your career path.

US News recently published their third annual ranking of law schools who send the most graduates off to clerkships right away. The list holds some clear ones like Yale and Harvard, but not all of them are so obvious. For example, schools such as Seton Hall University, Rutgers University at Camden and Newark, the University of South Dakota and the University of Baltimore all put strong emphasis on clerkship at the state and local levels rather than the Federal level.
