Have you moved for college? If everything looks complicated and you’re still not used to the place you moved to, don’t stress. It’s normal that you feel that way.
Have you moved for college? If everything looks complicated and you’re still not used to the place you moved to, don’t stress. It’s normal that you feel that way. Not everyone adapts to a new city or town that easily. If you feel uneasy, take a look at these tips that I’m about to tell you:
Try to meet new people
Meeting new people that have recently moved to the same place as you may help you get out of the house and explore your new residency. When I first moved, I tried to attend as many art exhibitions as possible in order to help myself get situated in a big city.
Walk and take public transportation
Google Maps could be your new best friend! Try to look for directions by walking and also by public transportation!
Sign yourself up for any activities
There are tons of groups dedicated to visiting the main sites of your city or town, and there are others dedicated to doing activities and meeting new people.
Try to forget about directions and walk around randomly
That’s the best way to learn your way around a new city
Befriend a local
No one can show you around better than a local! Befriend someone that lives where you moved and spend time around your new city with them.
