Although some States are beginning to lift certain restrictions, it's still important for students to stay safe while celebrating the end of the Spring 2020 semester.

Students of course want to celebrate the end of this semester, but with Covid-19 still running rampant, how should we all celebrate while staying safe? Here are some suggestions:

1) Get carry-out from your favorite restaurant!

Many graduates often go out for a special lunch or dinner the day of their graduation (I remember doing that after my high school graduation), but with the eat-in option no longer available for most places, carry-out is every graduate's best friend. A good way to have a small celebration with your family, or yourself, or whoever you've been staying with during this whole situation, is to have a special meal or desert to commemorate your successful semester.

2) Get yourself a small gift

Just like dine-in restaurants, many non-essential stores are currently closed as well. This includes luxury stores like jewelry stores, GameStop, clothing stores, arcades, etc. Although, fun times can still be had with little gifts you can buy online. With the semester completed, you deserve to buy yourself a small gift. Maybe get that movie you've been wanting on DVD, try a free trial on a streaming service, or get that silly shirt from Target you found online a few days ago.

3) Go on a picnic in a park

With some parks opening back up and summer upon us, it's a great opportunity to spend some more time outside, where there's plenty of room to social distance! Parks often provide plenty of room for people to keep their distance from one another, so going out for a small picnic with your family may be a good way to celebrate the end of the semester and get some sunlight! Of course, be sure to dine with those who you've been around already during this whole thing!

4) Have a movie day

Many movie theatres are also closed for the time being. That being said, it's the perfect time to have a movie marathon for a whole day! Whether you have good ole DVDs or streaming services, a movie day is a good way to relax and reward yourself for all the hard work you put into this semester, so go lay out on the couch, grab some snacks, and give yourself a day to chill.

You don't have to spend an exorbitant amount of money or be around a lot of people to celebrate the end of the semester. There are plenty of at-home activities and luxuries that can provide you with the perfect treat to end the semester.
