Poetry used to only be accessible through English classes and dense books with compilations  of the works written by Sylvia Plath, Edgar Allan Poe, and more. Fortunately, we now have Instagram and the ability to follow the poets we love. Not only that, but we are able to subscribe to exactly the type of poetry we want to see. Whether it be complicated similes and metaphors or encouraging words on a Monday morning, we could all use a little more poetry in our lives. The poets listed below encompass a range of styles, aesthetics, moods, and topics but all convey authentic human emotion.

What drew me to D. Agustin was the symbols crowning each piece of poetry on their profile. Though their work includes the inner workings of a tumultuous human mind much like any other poet, this accounts uniqueness comes from its hopeful anecdotes and ramblings of what must be a hopeless romantic. The cheerful tone set by these poets lights up a feed and excites the reader whether it is with hopeful joy or weary empathy. Some poems are even accompanied by a longer poem or a related quote.
