As of 2011, the American Bar Association estimated there were about 40 law schools in the U.S. that offer study abroad programs.

Studying abroad can sometimes be tough in law school. The school year is chock full of classes, most of which cannot be taken abroad, and the summers are filled with important internships that are crucial to getting you a job after graduation.

But don't be discouraged - there are plenty of law schools that offer great study and work abroad programs for their students. And according to an article by U.S. News & World Report, law students felt their study abroad experience provided them with, "greater awareness of other legal systems and cultures while helping her build a network of contacts around the world."
